Primark Haul | Mermaid Hair, Don't Care

Last weekend we took a trip to Primark. I don't get to go as often as I'd like because we don't have one close by, so it's like a 40 min drive to our nearest one! I have to admit, I wasn't overly impressed with their selection. I think their prices are going up and yet, the quality hasn't improved. But what I was mainly interested in was their pyjamas and homeware range and thought I'd share the few pieces I picked up.

The first thing I want to show are these trainer socks. Such pretty spring/summer colours and the designs on them are really cute too. Other than the simple stripes or spots, theres apples, cherries, orange or lemon slices and pineapples.

I love my PJ collection and I'm always adding to it whenever I spot something I fancy. I picked up two new sets from this visit. The first set is The Little Mermaid. I love the silver foil text over the mint coloured material. Granted that Ariel's hair colour isn't the same as the film, but it certainly fits with the pastel theme going on here - £8.00
This room diffuser is a bit of a let down. I really hoped it would smell amazing being grapefruit and nectarine. I was expecting something really fruity, but it's more perfumed than I like. It smells okay, just not something I'll be rushing out to re-purchase - £3.00
It's only right to add something else to my ever-growing prop collection right? This fake succulent sits in a gold pot, will never die on me and looks realistic. What more could you ask for? Of course if it was rose gold that would have been a bonus, but gold will have to do ;) - £2.00
On a plus note, I did get two pieces of rose gold and these fairy lights were my first find. Very delicate copper wire, with star LED lights scattered along. As you can see, I didn't do a good job of making them look pretty for these photos, but hopefully you get the idea? Think these were - £4.00

The second pair of PJ's are FRIENDS inspired and I love them! I am a huge FRIENDS fan and I was so excited when I saw these. I saw something similar last year, but I can't wear log sleeved tops or trousers for bed, so this short set was a must have - £6.00
I bought one of these pineapple candle last year, but it was the last one in the shop and one of the leaves had a chip in it. Being desperate to have one, I got some money off it and was happy as Larry. So when I saw they were selling them again, I decided to get another (unbroken) one to add to my collection - £3.50
Is that all? Nope. I got a pair of navy flip flops for 90p!! Love their flip flops and how affordable they are. I was in desperate need for a blue pair so these are great. Two pairs of black leggings at £3 each. I chose three tops, but unfortunately all three will be going back. They just didn't fit very nice and I decided I didn't like them as much as I did in the shop. I did however, pick up and keep two cardigans. But I'm crap at clothing photography, so no photos I'm afraid. Ones white with flecks of grey in it and is a full length maxi cardigan. The other is white again, but sheer and feels like it'll be great in the summer as it's not too thick.

So that's my mini haul. I'd love to know if you've been to Primark recently and if so, what you ended up buying? Let me know in the comments.

Love Hannah xx

  1. Such a mesmerising haul babe, I'm loving the magical merbabe vibes! Those PJS are the cutest, am crushing so hard on the pastel paradise going on and love how they've made Ariel's hair an orangey-pink. So cute! The socks are really stunning too, especially for summer. Loving the fruity feels. The succulent is so adorable, am loving the gold hue too. The Central Perk pair of PJS are so perf as well. AND don't get me started on the gorgeous fairy lights. All the twinkly and enchanting. You deffo did an amazing job of making them look majestic babe, was just thinking how dreamy your photography always is and this post proves that <3

I haven't been to Primark for absolutely ages, they really do have some gorgeous gems in there. I agree about the prices going up and that the value can sometimes be a bit iffy which is a shame. But they've definitely upped their homeware game, the last few times I've visited I've been really impressed, I know I was last summer when it came to all the cute fairy lights and duvet sets. Your haul is definitely tempting me to make a trip there asap! :)
