2 In 1 Review Post | CB12 | Dr. Botanicals

Good evening lovelies.. It's the weekend yay!
So I'm doing something slightly different to the norm in this post. Over August, I have been trying out a couple of products from different companies.
Since they are individual items that you can't really ramble on about for ages, it makes more sense to combine them in a post together. Shall we get started?..:)

First up is this mouthwash by CB12. Some of you may have heard about this brand before, its been around for years and already has many products on the market. I was sent this whitening mouthwash to trial for two weeks to see if I noticed a difference.
Before we talk results, lets just look at the bottle in which the product comes in. The packaging to me stands out and as oddly as it sounds, I find the bottle quiet attractive. Yeah reading that sentence back, it sounds crazy but hopefully you know what I mean?
It's not an overpowering wash, so not one of those you kind of dread using. Its very I guess, 'minty and fresh'? Leaves my breath feeling fresh for a while after use.

Results? Unfortunately for me, I didn't really see too much of an effect. I noticed a slight change and I will continue to use the remainder of the bottle, so if by chance a miracle happens, I will be sure to write an updated post. I am yet to find a product that helps me remove my stains. I hate my teeth, I'm really self conscious about them and would just love to have white teeth, (snapchat filter kind of white. You know what one I'm talking about)! Maybe I just need to save up and get them done professionally?
Next is the Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil by a company called Dr Botanicals.
This product has such a beautiful smell to it. It almost reminds me of a subtle perfume. Although it is a little strong when its first applied, the smell does fade after 5-10 minutes, so don't let that put you off. I use this serum mainly in the evenings after my shower, but one thing I have been using it for; is to blend my makeup.

This oil is amazing at allowing you to easily blend in concealer or foundation. I don't actually wear foundation day-to-day, but have tested it and it works just the same. So when I apply my concealer to certain areas, I put a few drops of this onto my makeup brush and then blend in my concealer. It really does help and evens it all out.

In all honesty, other than the makeup tip, I haven't noticed any other change to my skin. Nothing beneficial, but at the same time; no outbreaks or anything bad either. Because of this I'm kind of on the fence with the oil. I will definitely continue to use it and for the helping hand with the blending, may even repurchase once it's gone.

Have you ever tried any of these products? Or heard about the companies mentioned? Do you find whitening products to work?

*Both items in this post were sent to me for PR purposes. All opinions and photos are my own.

Love Hannah xx

  2. I love the sound of that oil, I'd love to give it a go - it sounds amazing! I've never thought of using facial oil as a makeup blender before?! I have a couple of different facial oils, so I'll definitely have to give that a try.

I'm the exact same with my teeth - I want my stains to be gone, too! So I completely understand! It's a shame the mouthwash didn't have great results.

  3. I've not tried any of these products before - that facial oil does sound lovely - so its a shame that you didn't notice much of a differene. I find with facial oils its definitely a gradual thing.

  4. I haven't tried any of these products and it's a shame that you didn't notice a big difference after using them. I would also love my teeth to be as white as these snapchat filters. I have heard of teeth whitening sets that cost just 100 dollars but I've never tried one myself :) xx

    1. I haven't actually Aleeha. But I have heard they're good too. Think when I looked for them in the past, because they are an american brand, it was hard to find them at a good price over here. Thanks for reminding me though, maybe I'll look again xx

  6. I totally feel you on the white teeth thing! The CB12 mouthwash looks so promising and I like the packaging too, so it's such a shame it didn't deliver better results :( It's good the oil works better, it sounds like a dream for blending foundation; I'm SO bad at that so I deffo think I need to buy it ;) Gorgeous review hon, I love how you featured two different products from different companies <3
