MUA Acrylic Power Pout Review..

When I was in Superdrug last week, I noticed MUA had a new line of glosses. Well I say new, but maybe I've just not seen them before since I tend to order online?..

After browsing at the colours they had and swatching a few, I decided on three shades in particular. These were; unwrapped, wondrous and potency.
The wand applicator is a sponge brush, which I personally find a lot easier than a brush applicator, which tend to get ruined after time.
Each colour is extremely pigmented as you can see from the swatches below.
They glide on with ease and very easy to work with. What I've found best to do, is to apply a thin layer, blot with a tissue and then apply a second. These are not matte glosses, I would say more a satin finish. I'm not too keen on a super glossy finish for daytime, so after the second coat, again I blot with a tissue and it removes a fair bit of the shine.
I've been a fan of MUA products for a couple of years now and although I've had good experiences with their lipsticks, their glosses were something I wasn't super keen on. However, with this acrylic range, they have my vote. At just £3.50 each, you can't really go wrong! The stay power is great for the price and the quality of the colour; I'm pretty impressed.
Simple, sleek tubes, with a colour that's pretty true to how it looks in the packaging. Another plus in my opinion.

Have you tried the MUA Power Pout range? What did you think of them?
What colour is your favourite out of the three I have?

Love Hannah xx

  1. I have never tried this range but after reading your post I think I'm missing out - the colours look absolutely amazing, Unwrapped is my favourite as I love neutral lipgloss. And I can't believe they come at such a good price! xx

    1. Hi Tamzin. Thank you. Yeah they're nice as they aren't really glossy, just the right consistency for me. I'm not usually keen on pinks but you're right there xx
