Microblading.. Round Two..

Back in March I decided to get my eyebrows done. I was fed up of having to fill them in everyday and while I admit, I have always had brows; over-plucking as a teen has led to sparse areas. In the summer or on holiday when wearing no makeup, I would always be conscious about my eyebrows and would fill them in.

After all, they do frame your face and make such a difference when filled in.

So as I mentioned, in March I got them done. The process is completed in two stages. I'm not going to repeat that post in this one, so you can read all about my experience in full HERE.

Two weeks ago I went back for my touch up and I know a lot of people requested I wrote a follow up post once complete. Which brings me to this post..
My brows had faded quiet a bit after the first session. While I could clearly notice the lines towards the end of my brows, the middle and front had faded. This is normal and the aim of the touch up, is to go back over any areas that have faded and to fill in any gaps that got forgotten or missed the first time around.

The actual process was a lot quicker this time. As there was a basic outline there from before, it didn't take Niki as much time trying to draw out the desired shape.
If we go on to talk about the pain scale however, that is a different story. I went in fully prepared for the pain that occurred last time, but I should have prepared myself for a little more. Where it had faded from the last time, Niki wanted to make sure that wouldn't happen again. Therefore, she had to cut deeper into the skin for the ink to set in. Cutting deeper obviously meant more pain. The worse part was when she went over the same cut a couple of times. Unfortunately this is something that cannot be avoided. Where each line is so thin and made to look like a hair stroke, there are going to be times when the blade gets dragged over the same place two or three times!
Like the first time, once the skin had been cut and the first lot of lines were complete, numbing cream was then applied. This was my favourite part as I couldn't feel a thing after that. Damn that stuff is good!
The next day..
The next morning..
All in all the touch up took around 1.5-2 hours. A lot less than the first time. I wanted to wait a couple of weeks before writing this post, as I wanted to give you guys a few pictures as time went on and the initial dark dye faded and left with how they will now look until i get a touch up in 1-2 years depending on how long they last.
One week after..
Two weeks after..
Again, don't forget to check out this first post to see all my before and after photos and to see the process happening in pictures.

Love Hannah xx

  2. Wow, your eyebrows look amazing! The process sounds pretty painful though so I don't think I'll get mine done, I'd rather stick to getting them plucked every once in a while. It is amazing that you don't have to do your eyebrows for the next year or two, that would certainly save me a lot of time. xx

    1. Aww thanks Mira :) it's uncomfortable more that really painful if that makes any sense? I've only had a small tattoo done in the past and I'd say it's pretty much like how that felt. But yeah it's so nice not having to touch them when doing my makeup everyday :D xx

  3. They look great! I agree, eyebrows frame your face. I used to draw mine on like slugs when I was younger and did them so dark, over the years I've learned how to do them. I feel lost without them on. I love having a nice arch! I'm scared of pain, so I doubt I'd ever get this done, I'm a wimp!!

    1. Thanks Becky :) haha yeah think it's fair to say we've all had slugs at some point. But practice definitely helps. When I was a teen thin eyebrows were in so I used to shave mine *hides face*!!! Trust me, I'm a whimp lol but could bare it so I'm sure you'd do fine. It's just uncomfortable for a while but as soon as the cream goes on its fine. Some salons do it different though and put cream on first, so may be worth a ask xx
