Chocolate Cornflake Cakes..

Happy Easter!!
I did plan to re-make these and take step by step pictures, but I never got around to it I'm afraid. Let's face it, they're so straight forward I don't think not having pictures of each step are an issue, as I'm pretty sure everyone knows how to make these already?
I just wanted to share with you my cheap version..
These yumminesses cost just under £2.50 to make, or £3.50 if you wish to add the mini eggs on top!! It made around 12 I think. Depends how much you fill each one with I guess..
Please don't be put off from using the cheap chocolate, I promise you won't notice.

• 3 bars of Tesco/Sainsburys value milk chocolate (30-35p each)
• Tesco/Sainsburys value cornflakes (25p)
• Approx 25g Tesco/Sainsburys unsalted butter (85p)
Drop of milk
• 1 bag of mini eggs

Fill a saucepan with a little bit of water over a low heat. Once it starts to steam, place an ovenproof bowl over and add your butter. I never really weigh the butter just put a lump, but I guess it's around 25g.

When the butters almost fully melted, add your chocolate and stir unto you get a creamy consistency.
You may find that at this point it looks a little "gritty", so it's now that you can add a drop of milk until it's smooth again.

Carefully remove the bowl and turn the heat off.

Add the cornflakes, little at a time. Remember you can always add more, but you can never remove the extra. Keep stirring and adding when needed, until you are happy with the covering of the cornflakes.
Spoon them into cupcake cases and add mini eggs on top of you wish.

You can either place them in the fridge for a few hours, or for a quick fix; pop them in the freezer.

When they're ready, all you gutta do now is take them out, decide if you fancy sharing and enjoy :)

Have a great day..

Love Hannah xx
