Fullips Review (First Impressions)..

I've never really been too bothered about my lips. But since I started blogging over these past few months, seeing so many of you having gorgeous full lips, it's made me start thinking more about my own. So I know I don't have the tiniest of lips out there, but they definitely aren't the best either. I've been experimenting recently with ways to make my lips appear bigger by using the amazing image changer, which is of course makeup and I've been both surprised and impressed with what you can do with a few lip products...

However, I recently stumbled across an advert about this product that "supposedly" gives you the effect of fuller lips in a short space of time, at home and as a nonpermanent solution; so no needles involved and you can choose as and when you want to use it.

It's by an American company called Fullips and comes in three different sizes, to achieve different effects.
I ordered size: medium oval stated on their site for "women with smaller, overall mouth sizes or very thin lips". After reading the description from all three sizes, I thought this one would be better suited for my lip size. Not knowing how it would work I didn't want to waste too much money ordering two or all three of the sizes, so went ahead and got one for now to test. At the moment they don't currently ship to the UK from their website, but they do ship internationally via their eBay account and you can also find their products on Amazon, should you wish to try for yourself.
Before deciding to purchase one I did a little research to see people's before and after snaps, to get an idea of what to expect. the three images below were found via a google search, so are not my own and I do not know who the original owners are...

When I received mine in the post yesterday I was really excited to give it a go. I was off work and so I wasted no time at all taking a quick snap before removing from its packaging. Let's just have a quick look at the packaging; pretty minimal, a card inside containing information about the product and how to use and slightly more plastic used then realistically needed. So the actual product is made from plastic and comes in this bright red tone. Oval shaped with a stamped image of lips at the bottom. The rim of the item it's rounded, thus making it not so harsh on your lips when you suck in. Overall with the product and packaging, pretty basic.

As I was off and just having a lazy day around the house; I didn't have any lips products on already, so was the perfect time to try it out. I followed the instructions on the packing, used a damp cloth to wet the area around my lips, placed the item over my lips and began to suck in through my mouth to form a suction. I have to be honest and say I found it quiet difficult; the size/shape of my lips were not the best fit for the size I got. it took me a few attempts before I kind of worked it out and got the right amount of air. it states to do 15-30 second intervals and to build up until you get the desired look. I tried it a few times and it just wasn't working for me. I saw a slight change in my lips, the bottom one plumped out a little bit, but other than that nothing drastic. I had to stop in the end as my lips started throbbing a little from all the suction. ill post a few before and after photos below of you to see if you notice a difference...
I’m not too impressed with this product. I managed to make my lips appear fuller with the help of a toothbrush, lip scrub and makeup! there are small caps on top of bottles/perfume/skincare products that you could use in the same way rather than spending your money on one of these! if you do try one of those mentioned items, just be sure not to do it for too long as it can leave you with a red mark around your lips for a short period of time.
I of course understand that things work differently for different people, so because Fullips didn't work for me, doesn't mean to say it won't for you.
Have you ever tried Fullips? Have a different opinion to me? Would love to hear your feedback.
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your week and I’ll be back Sunday with another post :)

Love Hannah xx

  1. I've never tried one of these as I'm scared they'll bruise my lips, but it's nice to see this one actually works! I really love the look of those lip colours to :-)

    1. Hi Megan. Unfortunately I don't think it worked very well, but of course it works differently on different people. Thanks for passing by and I hope to do a review on the lip glosses soon ;) Hannah x

  2. I was wondering how this was going to work out for you! I do see a different with the after picture but I guess that wasn't really from the product ;) It's kind of unfortunate that this doesn't work because I was kind of curious about it and wanted to try it if it did. I guess we will stick to make up, or bottle caps... Thanks for this post lovely!

    1. Hey Courtney thanks for passing by hun. Yeah it is a shame, I was really looking forward to seeing results! But I guess things work differently on different people and this is just something that didn't work for me :( hannah x

  3. Hon, firstly, you don't need to make your lips fuller because yours are lovely. Secondly, this whole Kendall look everyone seems to be after, including the brand that made this product, is crazy because to make your lips fuller you actually need fillers. I am sorry this product didn't work but in one sense I'm glad it didn't because I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself in any way. Not sure how real are the lips of girls in the photos above but they sure don't look nice. Stick to your natural gorgeous lips, honey :)
Hope this comment didn't sound negative or something (I didn't mean it that way one bit), the whole point was to say your natural lips are gorg the way they are :)

    1. Hey Nadia. Thanks as always for popping by <3 that's so sweet of you thank you! No you didn't sound negative at all hun.. I knew deep down fillers were the only "real" option but just kinda hoped it may have worked slightly I guess. Again thanks for the support and your lovely comment. Hannah xx
