April Favourites

Morning! Wanted to share with you a handful of products I have been loving the last month, so come under my April Favourites. If you've missed any of my previous fav's, feel free to click HERE and you'll be redirected to a list of all previous months.
Just want to apologise in advance for the plain photos, I had no fresh flowers the morning I snapped these pics AND i was in a bit of a hurry, as i had 5 mins before i had to leave for work! Oops! That's lack of preparation right there at it's finest..

Lush Refresher
If you saw my Lush Haul post last month, you would have seen I got myself a pot of this shower jelly. After smelling it at a friends house, I immediately fell in love with the scent. So when I was in Lush I decided to pick myself up a pot. It doesn't disappoint! Not only does it smell amazing, but it leaves my skin feeling soft and fresh after a shower.

Superdrug's Vitamin E Moisture Cream
You may or may not know, that after purchasing something from Superdrug's Vitamin E range last year, I was hooked! Their products are so affordable and yet really do the job you're expecting. I plan on doing a post soon with my collection, but last month this moisture cream was a newbie for me and it's now my go-to, morning and night. A bonus for this product, if that it has a SPF 15 so great for those warmer days.

Avon Foundation
I'm not really a foundation kind of "gal", but when I saw this foundation on offer at the end of February, I thought it was worth a try to see what it was like. I'm so happy I did! It's lightweight so doesn't feel heavy or cakey on the skin, it's a light-medium coverage, doesn't dry my skin out AND it's a matte finish! I personally dislike a dewy looking foundation on my skin, so the matte finish is perfect for me. I don't use it everyday, but for the days where I want a little extra coverage; this has definitely turned into one of my favs!!

Nivea Shave Balm
I'm pretty sure I don't need to say too much about this product.. I'm late to the club I know, but I finally got the lotion to try for myself and see what all the fuss is about. The simple answer is that all that fuss is correct and this stuff really does make a great primer for your makeup!! Since I've been wearing foundation a little more often than usual last month, (thanks to the Avon foundation mentioned above), I've been pairing it up with this as my primer beforehand and I don't have anything negative to say.

Saltwater Candle
So this beauty was found in a second-hand shop. It cost just £2 and as you can see from the marks on the top of the jar, has only been used a little. It was definitely a random find and I know I am "supposed" to be on a candle ban at the moment.. But the moment I opened the lid and smelt it, there was no way I was leaving without it! No matter how many times I read over the jar, there's just no scent name on it. It smells like something you would eat, I just can't quiet remember what that something is. Annoying I know but don't worry it's annoying me too, I hope I'll eventually have light bulb moment. It's almost like how Starbursts smell. That fruity but not over-powering scent? With a hint of lemon sherbet maybe? It would be so much easier if I could just let you all smell it through the screen!!
The best part about this candle is that it smells while it burns!!! You know you've got a winner when that happens. The room instantly smells just as good. Unfortunately this candle is Australian, I've looked on the trusty interweb and there is no where in the UK that stocks them! If you're reading this and you're in Australia, find a shop that sells them and go smell them for yourself.

That's all for my April favourites.. What were you loving last month? Would love to hear of one particular item, you would recommend to other people to try.

**I've set up a JustGiving page which you can find hereit would mean so much to me if you could make a small donation to a good cause? A minimum of £2 is required and as my way of showing my appreciation, I will be giving away a £10 Lush voucher to one lucky person. See details on page for more info**

  1. Ooooh I need to try that Avon foundation, it sounds amazing. I used to be obsessed with their products, but haven't used them for years. I also need to pick up the Nivea shave balm, I'm so late to this, theres so many good reviews about it, and I still haven't picked it up. I've never found a good primer, so it's a must on my list!!

  2. These are great picks, I absolutely love the Lush Shower Jelly, I really need to go and repurchase it! I have never heard about the foundation you have mentioned but I would love to try it out, I also prefer foundations that feel light on the skin and don't make you look like you put a second face on. Oh and I wish I could smell scents through the screen, how amazing would that be? Especially because I am the worst at describing scents. xx
