Evening guys. Hope you've all had a good week and I dunno about you, but I'm looking forward to a nice long weekend off :)
If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen me post these yummy looking things a few weeks back?
These are cookies, that taste slightly like cakes. Hence the name I've given them; Cookakes! They stay fresh for around a week and after 2/3 days they start tasting more like cookies. With the Nutella in the middle, when you bite into these cookakes you get a soft, gooey centre.
Don't take my word for it, give them a try yourself!!
Ingredients..
•150g caster sugar
•45g cocoa powder
•305 self-raising flour
•200g butter
•1 large egg
•Nutella
•Magic star/chocolate chips (optional)
•Drop of milk
You will also need to..
Line a bake tray with grease proof paper
Preheat oven to 200 degrees celsius
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
Add in the egg.
Sieve in your flour and cocoa powder.
After this stage, if you find your mixture to be a little dry, add a small drop of milk. Remember it's always best to add small amounts then add too much!
If you have decided to use magic stars or chips, add a handful of these in and give a stir.
Grab a small amount and split in half. Add a teaspoon of Nutella, pop the other half on top and roll into a ball..
Place them on your baking tray and repeat this step until you have used up all of your mixture.
Pop them in the oven and cook for 10 minutes. When you take them out, they will still be soft, but if you place a clean skewer or teaspoon handle into the cookie, you should find the skewer/handle comes out clean.
Place them on a wire rack and allow to cool for 30 mins before serving or putting them in a container.
If you decide to give them a go, I'd love to see how yours turn out and what you think of them.
Don't forget to follow me on..
Wow these look really good and the recipe sounds pretty easy! I love Nutella and I used to eat it every day as a kid. Very healthy, I know haha. I also love the name you have given the cookies, it fits perfectly. ;) xx

Mira forget about "as a kid".. I still quiet often just dip in with a teaspoon when I fancy lol!.. Oops!! Love Hannah xx
DeleteOkay these look amazing!!! I'm not a huge fan of nutella because of the nut taste so maybe I'd need to do this with just plain chocolate spread!
