Saturated Colour Blogger Meetup..

On Saturday the 7th May, I attended my first bloggers event! I received an email from a company called Saturated Colour about a month ago, inviting me to their event. After having a look online to find out a bit more about the company and who they were, I replied back accepting my invitation.
At last it was an event held on a Saturday, so I was able to go! I've been invited to a few over that last few months, but as they have always been during the week when I've got work, have been unable to attend.
So who are Saturated Colour? SC are a small family run business, whom specialise in animal friendly makeup products. While all products are cruelty free, there are even a couple of items that are suitable for vegans. This really appealed to me, as I think more brands should concentrate on being cruelty free. Although at the moment, SC mainly have lip products, they are slowly introducing more products to their range. They have a couple of mascaras to choose from and a pencil product that I will talking more about in a future post..
Their HO is in an amazing barn based in Essex, which is where the event took place. From there, they open up the front of the barn to the public; allowing people to go in, have a browse at their collection and make a purchase from there. Alternatively you find everything in their range online HERE.
The whole team were very welcoming to us all. They had arranged for us to be spilt into three groups and group by group sent us into a separate room to experiment with lip art. Once everyone had finished a winner was chosen. No it wasn't me if you were wondering.. I was feeling hot and lazy and decided to go for a standard all over colour. It was a good idea and a nice activity to get everyone involved.
I got to meet some great people; bloggers who I had spoken to via Twitter and managed to have a small catch up with Gemma which was great :)
At the end of the event, we were each handed a little goodie bag. It contained a lipstick in a shade SC thought would best suit each of us, a multi purpose pencil, a sample lipgloss and a small pot from Vita Coco of raw coconut oil, which I was very happy about as I've been wanting to buy some for a while, but keep forgetting! I will be writing a review of the SC products in a future post, so keep an eye out.
Even though I was hot and stressed out in the beginning (I got lost trying to find the barn), I really enjoyed myself and I want to thank everyone at Saturated Colour for inviting me..

Have you ever heard of SC?

Love Hannah xx

  1. Wow this event looks amazing, I have never attended a blogger event but I would love to do that one day. It must be so much fun to meet other bloggers in person. The brand sounds really good, I love that all their products are cruelty-free - I also think that all brands should refrain from animal testing, there simply is no reason to do it. Luckily there are many amazing brands that are cruelty-free and it's great to support these. xx
