Raising Money In Memory Of..

I've been MIA for a few days and while I thought it was best to stay silent, I've realised that starting a blog was a way for me to share my life story of anything good (and) bad happening, as well as all the other bits in-between..

On Saturday evening, my cousin lost his battle to Cancer.
He was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer around 3 years ago and last year was told he was in remission. Unfortunately the terrible disease came back with a vengeance and took over his body. It spread to his lymph nodes and liver.

A couple of months back, he had been given only a few months left. Friday evening, he deteriorated and was given 24 hours.. The nurses went to the house, made him comfortable and on Saturday evening he passed away, with his wife and three children by his side.
His wife now a widow and his children without a father before they are 30.

Even though we all knew deep down it was happening, it doesn't make the pain any easier. The only blessing is that he is finally out of any pain and suffering.

Cherish every moment with your loved ones. Life is far too short to be arguing over silly little things, or holding grudges. Tell them everyday how much they mean to you and that you love them!

I've decided to set up a JustGiving page. All donations are greatly appreciated and will go to Cancer Research UK.
To make things a little different and to show my appreciation, every person that makes a donation will be entered into a little giveaway. Please be sure to read the terms and conditions on the page info before donating/entering.

Don't forget you can find me on..

  1. I am really sorry for your loss, Hannah! You're right, life is too short to hold grudges and not to show our loved ones how much thy mean to is. And only because we know something is happening, it doesn't make it any easier. It is amazing that you started fundraising, hopefully we can eventually find a cure for cancer. xx

    1. Thank you so much Mira, it means a lot. Fingers crossed and maybe one day it'll happen! Love Hannah xx
